As our Human Resources Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR functions. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of HR activities, including employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, worker’s compensation, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be tenacious, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- HRIS REPORTING/HR SUPPORT: Perform other various responsibilities that relate to maintaining HRIS and employee files as assigned. Facilitate and assist with HRIS processes (i.e. personnel transactions, updates, etc.) Create, update, and maintain all job descriptions for all current and future positions. Support payroll team in processing and maintaining information for payroll.
- COMPENSATION & PAY MAINTENANCE: Key contributor for the annual pay planning process from start to finish (ex: merit, bonus, total comp statements). Coordinate the administration for compensation plans, including but not limited to quarterly and annual bonus plans, lump sum transactions, commission plans, severance/retention bonuses, and other compensation policies/agreements.
- BENEFITS & COMPLIANCE: Responsible for accurate and timely monthly transactions related to new enrollments, terminations, and billing. Maintain, track, and process all monthly billing for vendors and submit to AP accurately and timely. Work with various vendors and carriers to handle day-to-day administration of all applicable health and retirement plan offerings. Own the HRIS implementation for annual benefits enrollment/open enrollment for all locations and ensure accuracy of plan design, deductions, etc. Responsible for the offboarding/de-hire process, by updating/maintaining records within the HRIS, employee files, COBRA, unemployment claims, etc. within a timely manner.
- EMPLOYEE LEAVE PROCESS & COMPLIANCE: Oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and disability plans. Support and administer worker’s compensation filing/claims and coordinate with managers on employee’s leave, time off, and/or light duty activities. Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, etc.)
WHAT YOU NEED
- KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, preferably as an HR Generalist.
- SKILLS: Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- ABILITY: Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
